Our Leadership supports and encourages postitive spiritual paths that create good decision making leading to good choices that blesses ones own endeavors which blesses the greater community. Our Leadership supports and encourages all students to find the tools for inner personal changes. We help all students transform their lives and then transition into the greater community by taking personal responsibility towards a postitve, productive, and purpose filled future.
Jeremy
Director
Jeremy is our Executive Board President. Jeremy has been working in the reentry field for over 15 years here in King County. Jeremy is The Journey Projects book keeper and case manager for phase 3 participants. Jeremy also oversees our landscape maintenance , life skills program. Jeremy believes second chances and reentry are very important issues. Jeremy also has lived experience with the criminal justice system. Jeremy is an avid outdoor hiker and beekeeper.
Ed
Director
Ed is our Executive Board Vice President. Ed is also a Vietnam Veteran US Army. Ed has been in the reentry field for over 15 years and has lived experience. Ed works closley with DOC and DSHS and has made lasting connections with those organizaitons over the many years. Ed enjoys working out and spending time with family & friends.
Joshua Office Administrator/Director
Joshua is our Executive Board Secretary. Joshua is an indigenous leader versed in reentry and second chances. Joshua has a lived experience at the age of 16 years old. Joshua manages our administrative offices and case manages at our Massey Creek House. Joshua has been in the reentry field for 6 years and has devoted his time and energy on building a better reentry system for the State of Washington. Joshua is the creator of our successful reentry symposiums we hold every six months. Joshua has also taken the step to get The Journey Project involved with our state senators and legislators to build relationships to bring to light services lacking in reentry for Washington State. Joshua is a Washington State Notary Public. Joshua enjoyes playing piano, gardening, spending time with his friends & dog little bear (usdi yona).
Tom Program Manager/Case Manager
Tom is our Program Mangaer as well as our Tukwila location Case Manager. Tom spends most his days planning program materials as well as overseeing the opperations of the program curriculum. Tom oversees our case mangers and house managers. Tom has lived experience which gives him experience you cant get from a classroom. Tom is also our case manager for our LRA participants. Tom has devoted his life to helping people coming from incarceration. Tom enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with his friends.
Second Chance Walk 2023
Community Partner
Our Board members were pleased to attend and support Communities of Belonging Second Chance Walk at Green Lake in April of 2023. We love being able to amplify second chances and reentry any chance we get.
